AM - 11.5 Mall/2xAC/laps.  Didn't get quite as much in as usual as I had to get ready for the day at school.  Felt solid and woke up okay, even after having trouble sleeping all night.  Could order up those morning temps for the rest of the year!  (Stratus black 276.1)

afternoon - 13 River Trail.  Not a bad little run, a little fatigued toward the mid-end.  Took Molly around block while Ry rode her bike.  (Cumulus gold 310.65)

Do you have aspirations of trying to win Squaw? I guarantee that no one there will have more training miles than you, and doubtful anyone has more raw speed.

Jon,

just letting it be what it will. I really don't care to win it - what is in winning other than what I will already have put in and get out of it... meaning, a great mileage base, out running in a lot of new cool areas, having fun and enjoying running. But if I find myself in front I'll take it.

I really discovered last summer how fun trail races are- much more laid back (after all, you walk the uphills and talk to the other guys), good food at aid stations, no mile markers, dedicated volunteers, very beautiful scenery, unpredictable... lots of fun. Just enjoy it and if you happen to run great, than that much better. As for your last sentence- :) Made me laugh. We know you will.
