AM - 33 Wendy's/Quail.  Got up and ran Wendy's then went down and ran Quail with James.  On the way out we took the Lava Point trail to add a few miles - down by the river I noticed some blue string up in the cliffs, so I was staring at it - then I noticed two great horned owls sitting up in the cliffs, one in the nest must have been an adolescent - it looked just like an Ewok.  Then just a few feet away on a crag was the adult.  Two straight days of awesome animal sightings!  Got fairly tired as we finished up the run into the wind.  (Landreth orange 169.25)

Week was solid, got in another set of good miles and and decent long run.

Goals for next week:  It will be another busy one with region track on two days, so that will cut into the mileage a bit.  So I will use it as a recovery.  Then over the weekend we are up to SLC, so I think I may head up into the mountains for a hard mountain trail run - but we'll see.

Wow you have had some cool animal sightings. I've seen a fox down on the river trail just past the freeway bridge. Was you with me then? Anyways cool and the owls sound awesome. I really wish the garmin had a good camera on it. I'd have some sweet pictures for running.

Are you a man or a machine? Either way, you are unstoppable. 150 mile weeks are normal for you, now. That is National Elite level mileage!

By the way, what are your race plans this year?

Wow Dave, great mileage! How do you keep glycogen stores up? Are eating on the run at times?

Jon, race? Am I supposed to do that at some point? Really, I don't know... I'll just keep on running until I find something I want to do (race) - so far the only plan is SGM - but possibly something before then. Of course Squaw, but like I have said before - that is just running; I have already gained everything I ever planned from Squaw... no distance scares me anymore, the idea of 30+ today was nothing (of course the actually running of it does sometimes get me!)

Anyway, this whole year is about getting ready for the next two years.

Steve, On the big runs (I guess that now counts as over 35, because I didn't worry about it today) I come back to the Jeep and eat bread and honey. I digest it well and it helps fill the stomach. Otherwise, just GU.

Clyde, I don't think I was on that one. Maybe, don't they all just blur sometimes!

K here is the deal, some park city kids came into the race without any numbers on. so that screwed up all the times from 15th back. And i got a 9:52.1. I dont know what coreys was, he was behind me.
