AM - 8 Middleton. Ran the Middleton 8 out and back with a goal of trying to hit MP for the last four (or at least as close as I could get). I still have a struggle hitting good workouts in the morning. It is hard to run faster when I am tired, its dark, I'm hungry, I'm tired! But it was a good workout and I could feel it burning a bit. Getting back, I started my carbo load for the next three days. This is something I am still trying to figure out, but I am trying 2 new carb drinks to help get it all in. (Landreth 81.95)

good job this morning. You truly are amazing! It will pay off.

Thanks for the comment Dave. I feel bad complaining about a drippy nose compared to what you have dealt with but it seems like you are back, between your mileage last week and the 10K.

I started the carbo loading Sun. I made a HUGE pot of pasta with shrimp/chicken/fish and a ton of different veggies and will be eating it lunch and dinner all week. My wife wants to kill me... I found this study a few years ago were you carbo strip and then load for an extended period and it was supposed to increase muscle glycogen by about 10%. So Saturday after my workout I skipped my usual Gu and gatorade and stuck to mostly protein, then started the high carb diet Sun for a total of 6days. I did this for St. Louis '04 and Chicago '05 and it seemed to help some. See you in a few days!

Adam, WHAT are you talking about?! It is near 90 down here.

The phone # I got for the Devine guy doesn't work - any ideas?

I am planning on just taking up all my emails from them just in case there is some problem.

90!!! I can't imagine. Yesterday it actually hit 80 then it has dropped fast. I think all the wind brought it in. It is now 37F but snowing. It is actually accumulating on the grass... I did just do a run in it though and except for the first 1.5-miles when it was hail/sleeting it was fine. I look at it this way, the weather is just getting it all out of its system so that we can have 55-60F, overcast and NO wind for Saturday.

As far as Devine goes, that is my same plan. I've sent e-mails to both Scott and Natasha and have not heard anything back. I don't think Kory has either...
