morning - 20.25 West Canyon Trail - Zion. Maybe the greatest run I have ever been on. Started up near Kolob Res. running maybe a mile into the trailhead with all the local boys. The scenery throughout was the most beautiful, breathtaking sights you could ever imagine. A few of the climbs at 7500 feet killed my lungs, but brought even more amazing views of slot canyons and cliffs. After 15 miles or so, the trail connected to the top portion of Angel's Landing and we ran down Wally's Wiggles. Then we hit Zion Canyon floor and Clyde, Logan, and I "jogged" (at sub 6:00 pace) down to the canyon entrance where we met up with Katie and everyone else.

My only regret is that my legs are so burned - otherwise I would have enjoyed the run even more. This trail will become a regular a couple times a year. (Cumulus white 337)

Great run this morning. We'll have to hit it again, and again.

Whoa, that sounds like a crazy run!! The Hawaiian life is going pretty good... I don't really take advantage of the beach and stuff like I should! I quit the XC team this year too, I was a little run down.. (or a lot) and also sick when the season started. I figured that I should cool it and just run for enjoyment for a while. So that is going great! Just trying to live life and get through school. How is everything is SG? I heard you did really well in the marathon? How is the XC season going?

Great run yesterday! My legs are a little sore too. I don't know why - maybe 2400 ft of elv loss in 3 miles.

We'll have to find some more runs like this. It's going to be hard to top.

Looks like I missed out on a good run. I was in Colorado during the break. I'm sure there are some other great trails out this way.

Awww man! I have ALWAYS wanted to run that trail!! dang. Next time you do that and I'm down in the summer or on break or something you should let me know so I can come! It's absolutely beautiful there. I am jealous.
