I remember this being a very good workout. The 800's seemed to just take care of themselves and flew by.

6 and 3 in morning

19 in evening (planned on 23, because of track meet I did it Friday night instead of Saturday)

The evening run is when I had my "set back". I was running out in Green Valley and started to feel very fatigued. Things just weren't working right - my legs wouldn't lift, breathing was way off, and very tired. This scared me a lot. Called Ally and had her and the girls meet me. But I kept running about 6 more miles (some of which was out of my way to go to my bro's to get some help - no one was there). Finally got to where wife and girls were and I just about dropped into the car. Kept feeling wiped throughout the day and night. Went to the doctor a few days later (notice that I ran a few more times the next week, duhh... learn the first time).

Thought I might be feeling a little better. So I decided to run. Felt pretty fatigued still - but it wasn't the same as the stroke. I just figured I was worn out.

Went 2 miles and had to stop. Something is wrong. Get to the doctor and "something is glowing around your stoke". A glowing brain ... that's not good.

A very difficult week for me followed. The doctor said that depending on the results of the test, I may not be able to run any more. Not - you can't run competitively. No. You can't ran at all. I really didn't know how to react to this. It set my brain into all sorts of crazy ideas. It was a tough thought to try and digest. Running is so much more to me than one might think. Its racing; competition; overcoming self; mastering body and mind; enjoying beauty; thinking and reflecting; becoming one with myself and all that is around; refocusing; finesse; endurance; challenge; love; introspection ...
