morning - 8.45 around FireStation desert. Then I headed back and did 8x100 barefoot grass striders. I really needed the striders. I was slow and slower throughout the run, but the striders kind of got me going again. The feeling of putting my shoes back on and finishing the .5 miles back to my house is such a strange one. PM - 5 Washington Parkway. Nice run out on the Parkway. Pushed the pace a little coming down the Parkway. (Glycerin 468.95)

The "T" workout refers to threshold training; I refer to it as comfortably hard. It is straight out of Daniels' Running Formula book, the 1st edition. Essentially, each workout is a variation of the same thing--a significant chunk of running at threshold pace, approximately 30 seconds per mile slower than 5K race pace. At altitude, I usually figure about 5:05-5:20 for threshold runs, depending upon conditions (windy, terrain, by myself vs partner, temp, etc). If you're a max vo2 guy, threshold is about 88% vo2 max. Based on your listed PRs and the table that daniels gives in his book, I believe your "T" pace would be about 5:20-5:30. If you want, I can give you some of the specific workouts from Daniels book. If you have his book, I am following marathon training program "A". Best wishes, talk to you soon.
