Green Valley loop from my house into Green Valley (bottom way, like this much better) and around. Felt great, first time I didn't walk in a run this long - not even one step! I remember this being a very positive experience. Watch says 8:13 average.

Wanted to get one last long run in before the marathon. I felt horrible. Had to walk, had to cut it short.

Don't remember the rest of the week up to the Swiss Days. I think I took it pretty easy though. Mostly just 3 and 4 mile recovery runs.

2.25 warm up for the Swiss Days 5k

3 - mile splits were 5:38,5:31,5:13, and then :27 for the .1 Run was good. It had been a very long time since I had run a 5K. So I wasn't used to the speed. A high school kid beat me (that's kind of sad). But I felt okay about it. Came in 2nd.

10.5 - ran with club and Logan down last 10.5 of the marathon course. Felt good.

First log!

9 miles

ran 3 mile runs 3 times (continueously) with various groups of my team members.

run - PVHS to Artic Circle and back x 3

It gets tedious running the same run three times in a row, but it is nice to get out with the kids.

On treadmill at 6:31 pace. Have been working on a little of downhill training for the last few weeks to get ready for St. George.

The 6:30 pace is pretty comfortable right now.

3 miles 3 times with team again. run - PVHS to Artic Circle and back x 3

same run as Monday. But it was the last set of morning runs for the x-country season, so I was glad to be there running with the various groups of kids.

2 mile warm up into Green Springs at just under 7 min/mile

Then pushed for 4 miles at 5:55 average. Felt labored at first only hitting 6:15, then it started to really flow and I even toned it down as to not overdo it. Easy last mile around 7:45 to finish up.

Came home from Cedar Invite and ran 5 at 6:31 on the treadmill as my wife took one of our daughters to the doctor.

planned on running with the SGRunClub on the marathon course but slept in after staying up late with sick daughter.

So I tried to run something with a similar downhil as SGMar

Ran up turkey farm road - felt good and warmed up with 6:30, 6:45, and 6:30 then backed off a bit as I ran up to the water tank 7:30 and 7:50. Ran back in 6:05, 6:10, 6:08, 6:22 then eased in at 7:30.

Felt pretty good on way up but really strained for 6's on way back.

Ready to relax for marathon week.
