hit the treadmill at 6:40. Feels pretty relaxed and I have some confidence in my running right now.

I am feeling shaky about my mental toughness though. What was my strength in high school has become a major weakness for me. I haven't ran a good marathon 2nd half of any of the 3 I have ran, and I don't feel as mentally strong as I know I need to be to push through the pain of a strong 13-26.

Your experience from those other marathons will get you through it. Thanks for the advice. Last year I used the motivating signs to help me push through the pain. I will ice it down.

What time are you going to run in...Do you want to try and pace each other? I'm other way, I feel I can kill the second half but I'm way worried about what's going to happen on the first half.

I am kind of shaky on my time (I guess I should have a clear goal, but I am so worried about the second half, I am having trouble setting something). But I think sub 2:45 should be doable.

I was thinking about saying the same idea to you about running together. I really don't have a problem going out strong and maybe I could help you set a strong pace. Then you could help me finish at something decent and a 2:45 or better would be very possible.

From Superfly on Tue, Oct 03, 2006 at 15:21:10

I think it's doable. I would like to be 2:39 or under. I just have reservations about getting to the half under 1:20. Although I'd like to be there around 1:17-1:18 and then bring it home with a negitive split. I'm just scared about starting out too fast and climbing from Veyo up out of Dameron. Last weekend that part of the run really played mind games with me.

From Dustin on Tue, Oct 03, 2006 at 15:21:41

I originally was thinking 2:50 for my goal time, but I'm interested in shooting for 2:45, so I might tag a long for awhile, Either way I'm just planning on a big PR!

Lets do it! I can definetly take you out at 1:18 and then Dustin and I will push with you as long as possible.
