AM - 12 Target Loop.  Waking up a little sore, I thought this morning may be a struggle.  But after getting going, it wasn't any big deal.  Temps. out are amazing. (Landreth 682.85)

afternoon - 12 Mall/Dogpound.  A bit of a tired run.  Legs and mind a little tired, but got going a little better as the run went on.  Two long up-hill pulls during the run.  Finished with lifting, 8xbarefoot striders and then took the dog around. (Cumulus gold 245.65)

You are right about doing speed with the team. However, we are not starting speed for another 2 weeks since we start later and I have a lot of winter sports guys that need to get some distance in first. But I will figure something out. I just need to get in some good speed this month.

Something to think about Greg -

Jack Daniels suggests that winter sports guys (and girls - don't mean to be gender biased) should be in decent enough shape to get into some speed stuff right away and that the distance base should be gained throughout the season (kind of a simplified version and not totally what he said, but along the lines). Now, that goes for people that are in shape from their winter sport. Just a thought.
