Utah Valley Marathon 2:42:06

A poor effort both mentally and physically.  My grandma has probably run the 2nd half of marathons better than this (but maybe not as part as a full, just a solo half).  (Last Ohana 185.5)

I'll write more later - but I know some of my friends would want to see how I did and wouldn't want to disappoint!

Last Ohana Miles: 27.00

I am looking forward to the full account- Good to see you at the start

One of those days.

From Holt on Sat, Jun 11, 2011 at 19:23:36 from 50.8.79.137

I am NOT looking forward to the full account! That means I would have to relive it all again.

But on the positive side, I already feel so much better than I did earlier. Got some food in me, some sleep, and I feel pretty good. Maybe I'll go run a trail up here today! (or maybe not!)

Your grandma must be pretty fast :o) Nice to meet you today! If Jake and I head down to St. George sometime, we might just hit you and your crew up for a run!

You're right. Lots of us want to see how you did. Thanks for letting so many of us in on your running life.

Good seeing you out there. Sorry it was not a great race for you. Sometimes these races are good motivators. Keep up the fight; you will have the good things come to you.

From Jon on Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 00:51:03 from 64.115.74.25

Sorry to hear, Dave. Sometimes those days happen. I still haven't written my race report from my DNF a week ago... not sure I ever will. Don't always need to recap the pain.

From Superfly on Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 01:17:18 from 74.211.21.81

"Goat! What are you doing on my car"? "I don't know- I'm a goat I get on stuff I eat stuff I'm a mutha..... goat".

That's how I feel about today's race. Memories Bra!

We live to run another day!

I still think you're a running demi-god!

From Little Bad Legs on Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 01:52:42 from 68.186.75.3

No need to post a report. ;) I'm sure you learned a thing or two from the experience and you'll be better for it next time. Good job.

From Predog on Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 02:14:06 from 24.10.142.244

Keep it up Holt! Everyone has those days...often more than one or two. You're an inspiration.

From Rob Murphy on Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 14:24:58 from 24.10.248.6

Sorry about the rough day Dave. Just how it is sometimes - especially with the marathon.

From Fritz on Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 21:57:32 from 67.182.226.25

Good to see you yesterday. Sorry that the second half didn't go as planned. Maybe you should wait a few more days to write the full account so you remember less. I am sure next time will be better.

From Adam RW on Wed, Jun 15, 2011 at 00:49:08 from 24.10.132.131

Dave, I'm one of those guys too. Nice to see you at the finish though I wish it had been under better circumstances.
