AM - 7.15 Green Springs. Happy to be out running again! Nothing else needs to be said. (Paramount 334.9)

afternoon - 8.8 - 4xcemetery mile.  Ran 2.1 out to cemetery and started up on miles.  Planned on doing 4 and cutting recovery to only a 1 minute jog.  First was pretty good 5:29, but I could tell I didn't have a lot of juice.  2-5:24 a little better, but still no quickness.  3-5:32 slowed a bit.  The downhill section wasn't as fast as it should have been.  About halfway through it, the limited recovery was starting to hit me.  4-5:39 Struggled taking advantage of the downhill again and legs were spent.  Then ran back to PVHS by way of Sandberg's Pond.  Okay repeats.  Never really know what to get when you increase repeats or decrease recovery, and I did both.  (Precision 167.45)

weights and then .75 jog around fields (Landreth 456.95)

You cant make a comment like that and then expect that someone wont want to know whats behind it.

Oh, just after ending last week on a sour note - happy to have a positive attitude and up enjoying the brisk morning air.

Hey Dave

Hang in there. Four more days until the break. Interesting I had kind of a similar experience at the end of the run Saturday. I felt real good running with you guys, but I knew I only wanted to go around 8 to 10 miles. So I turned back a little early. The first 7 miles were great, but mile 8 by myself wasn't so hot, and by the time I got back to the Dixie Center I wasn't feeling too good, in fact I stopped and walked the last 1/4 mile. I usually don't stop and walk but I at that point I was kind of done with running for the day. Driving home I was like, man it was cold this morning, why am I doing this, but later in the day I found myself saying, boy I'm glad I went and ran this morning. Sometimes it is hard to stay motivated, but like you mentioned I think we have a good network of runners and good quality people to train with. I know being part of a running club and now this blog has really helped me to meet new people and feel like I have another family outside of my family and church group I can rely on whenever I need help.

Good miles. I just can't talk my brain or body into any type of speed right now. I just don't feel racey at all. Sometime around the end of January I'll be ready- maybe.

I didn't know you still had a pair of Landreth's kicking around. I miss those old shoes. It was like the days I put them on it was a easy run even if I pushed the pace.

If you want to plan something for Saturday morning I'll be in town. Let's do something fun if your down.

I'll be around - and Logan could be around as well, so...

The Landreths have so many miles on them, I just lift in them and then just do my cool down.
