afternoon - 10.5 on GreenS/PowerL/WaterT loop. Started with my team up into Green Springs for two miles. Continued on alone through the unusually hot weather (mid 80's). Happy to see that another fat-cat developer and group of city councilmen are lining their pockets by tearing up more of the desert above Green Springs. This time they took away my trailhead, so I had to run right through their bulldozing to get where I wanted to go. I wonder about the many tortoises I have seen in this very area - although I am not a speed demon by any means, I do think I can go faster than a tortoise, and I don't think they can outrun a bulldozer smashing in their dens and ripping out their food supply. To the run... I just kept it relaxed and easy, even down the turkey farm road and enjoyed the prelude to summer's heat. (Glycerin 202.1)

Way to rock Dave.

you just found a new cause. Save the desert tortoise.

I ran through there yesterday afternoon. It's like I was only gone a couple days and they took that whole other side of the wash out. I guess they will go all the way up to that gate you have to jump over. Sucks!

Hey I'm planning on speed tonight @ 7:15 @ the SCHS Track if you're interested.
