afternoon - 11.25 5x1000 on River Trail and then 4 barefoot striders. The cough medicine knocked me out pretty good last night and I wasn't able to get up and run this morning. I hoped I could get a decent workout in with this cough. It went rpetty good considering - at least a step in the right direction, considering... Ran down to the trail and did the first on the first part of the trail 1-3:28, this is where I hoped I would be able to get all of them, so I was pleased. 2-3:30 Just a little slower, but things were going okay. 3-3:31 A pretty solid one, had a little better time until the steep (but short) climb by the post office. 4-3:31 Brought it back up the trail now and was still maintaining a pretty decent pace. 5-3:37 dropped a bit more than I would have liked, a sign that I was done - so I guess it was good that I was. Ran back to school and did some barefoot work. These would have been quicker had I not been sick, but the coughing and the soreness in the muscles was holding me back a bit. But it feels pretty good to pick up the pace. (Stratus red 247.95)

evening - 4 Treadmill @ 1%. It's been a long time since I hit the treadmill. I wanted to grab a few more miles, but still allow myself to be able to have rest and recover to get feeling better, so I just went four. Started with a mile at 7:30, then 7:00, then 6:30, and finally 6:00. Maybe I need to get back on the treadmill once in a while to force myself to hit some pacing like I did toward the end? Coach you’re my hero!! You’re running and you’re sick!! That’s nuts but inspiring (haha)!! Shows me that next time I’m sick I’ll have to think twice about not running! You’re awesome and completely dedicated!! :)

Dave, hope you didn't get sick from me at club run. Way to tough out the workout!

No Mike, All the girls have been sick for the past month and it just finally became my time. Lucky me!

Hopefully you can kick it in a lot less that a month, like I have not been able to do.

Good job on the workout Dave. I've started doing 1000s and at first I struggled more with them than the 800s, but the last 1000 workout I did went pretty good. Hope you get to feeling better. I just convinced Sunny to join the blog, so looks like most of us now have wives on the blog.
