AM - 11.25 Green Springs.  Ran over to practice early and ran barefoot for a few.  Then we ran into Green Springs and I went with the girls on their fartlek workout.  Molly's Mile.  Legs were a bit sore today - but do feel a little better after running.  After a long weekend seriously pondering my running future I guess the only thing to do after a disappointing race is to get back on my feet and try again; it just seemed like the thing to do when the alarm went off.  (Landreth orange 365.8)(Barefoot '09 117.25)

The "seemed like the thing to do" phrases sounds a lot like Forrest Gump. "One day I just decided to go for a run..I ran down the lane, and then through town. Anyway, you get the idea. Just keep plugging away you've been running a lot of miles I'm sure when you are truly peaked for a race you'll reap the benefits of all your hard work.

It sounds like it's time for you to just go out and enjoy running, maybe go ultra. Remember passion isn't measured w/ a stopwatch.

What you felt in those last few miles of that race is what i feel every day. Im not the type to run by my self ALL the time. Yeah i need one by my seft every once in a while. But it is really taxing on my mind and body. So when you tell us to get back up and keep going i do,. . . and if i can you for SURE can. Your holt, i have told people here about your running and coaching skills. First off they think your masokistic ( however you spell that) But they also think your the most dedicated guy ever. Keep it going coach. :)

Hey Dave, Don't get down on yourself. Seriously, you only had a few weeks of speed type training under your belt. you have a ton of miles under your belt, now is the time put a little more focus on quality. You have great talent so just enjoy being able to run.
