AM - 20 Utah Hill.  Good group for a run from Beaver Dam side of mountains up 10 miles to the summit and back 10.  This run is always a great workout.  Plan, like usual on this run, was to just run up at whatever pace and then go get marathon pace on the way back, with maybe a few at sub-MP.  Run up was fine.  We got it in 1:19 - I don't know the average of that but it seemed like if I looked at a mile it was around 7:20-40.  Worried about my hydration a little (over), because I drank half a bottle of chia on the way up and at the top drank a whole gato (20 oz. bottles, I think) - also hit a GU.  But it sat pretty decent even when I added a bit more water on the way back.  Aaron and Haydo took off right off the bat, and Clyde, Logan and I eased into it: 5:40, 5:31 for the first two; and I was a little worried because we are already hitting my sub-MP for UVM.  But even as I tried to back off we hit a couple miles in the 5:20's.  Granted it was down hill, but I think we were all feeling pretty good (meanwhile Aaron and Haydo were rolling!).  I sat back a little on the fifth mile down because I didn't want to bonk and Clyde and Logan put a hundred meters on me (but still around another 5:30'ish).  Then I felt like I have rarely ever had before and things just started to click.  I put the 16th mile in at 4:56 and let out a little yell as I caught Logan and then Clyde (because of the time and the way I felt).  Moved the next down to 4:48; followed by a 4:59.  I hadn't hit a sub 5:00 in a while let alone three in a row near the end of a 20.  And I realized I had a chance at going sub 25:00 for the last five, so I just tried to keep calm and flowing even though I did feel a little queezy and tired in the legs.  Held on to a 5:07 on the 19th and realized a 5:09 would get me to a 24:59.  By this time Haydo was near so I used him to help push me; and I held up to a 5:04!  So I ended up with a 24:55 last 5 miles; 52:03 last 10; and during those real quick ones a 15:10'ish 5K - all of which are PR's!  I know it wasn't a race (although this reads like one), but I felt so good and was pretty stoked about it all.  (Ohana racers 239.05)

Good end to an up and down week.  Interesting how you can feel like junk one day and so good the next (or even in the same run sometimes).  Also, first 100 in a while - and it felt very easy.

Goals for next week: another 100 week.  And again a couple good tempos.

Way to run this morning. It was fun watching you cruise by. Nice, smooth and not even struggling at sub 5 min pace. I wouldn't have kept the pace up if you hadn't gone out ahead- so thanks for pulling me along.

You guys are animals. You would still be waiting at the car if I would have come. I'm hoping to be a little more consistent now that school is out and things will slow down a bit.

Good job Dave. You guys where making it look way too easy.

Dustin, they used up all their waiting on me so I think you would have been just fine.
